The International Basic Sciences Programme (IBSP) was established to further develop international cooperation for the strengthening of national capacities in the basic sciences and science education. Basic sciences generate fundamental knowledge that drives technological innovation and supports economic, social, and environmental development aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
